As Christians we seem to be highly targeted for scams. There are good online Christian business opportunities but you have to be careful. The old adage, “If it seems too good to be true, it is,” is usually right on the mark. If you could make $100,000 a year by sitting on your couch and watching TV then everyone would be doing it. Before you spend any money on the internet be sure to check out the program fully.
I just saw a website advertising a cash gifting business opportunity. This sounds like a pyramid scheme with a little twist. The idea is you join under a sponsor. Then you send a gift of money to your sponsor’s sponsor. This supposedly is legal because you are giving the money to the person two levels above you.
Next, you recruit people to join and give money to your sponsor. Then the people you sponsored get people to join and this level of people will give you money. This sounds like nothing more than a way to transfer money from the people lower down the pyramid to the ones on the top. This is not a long term business venture. It is a scheme that will fall apart after a few levels.
Like all these types of programs it works for a while because of greed. The new person is told all he or she has to do is get people to sign up below them and the money will start rolling in.
Don’t fall for these scams. Anything that requires the building of a pyrimid and is not based on actual products is a Ponzi scheme if in name only. (Ponzi was a huckster who started a multilevel program that took money from the new members and gave it to the old members. Everyone saw how much money the older members were making and so they signed up. Unfortuately, as soon as new members stopped signing on there was no money for anyone.)
Plese do not fall for this type of scam. Any successful business is going to require some work and a product or service to sell. I really doubt you can get rich by waiting around for people to give you gifts.

is this web site a scam or is it real
my dad got hooked in to this and i am leary. is this a legitimate business
Hi James,
In my opinion this is nothing more than a ponzi scheme, a scam, that takes advantage of people who are desperate. There is a lot of money to made with this type of scam for the person who sets it up but everyone else loses.
