Usually jobs that are offered online can be found in online classifieds, freelance fulfillment services, and forums for specialized areas of expertise. This is generally work that is paid for performance and most times when the project is complete so is the job at hand. You will constantly have to scan the previously mentioned areas for new jobs, even before your current one ends to perpetuate your daily work and keep your income going on a continuous basis. If a customer is happy with the result that was provided them, then it is possible to obtain a full-time position with them in the future. The down side is that depending on your abilities; it can be a feast or famine situation as work will be cyclical.

Customer Service Jobs At Home

There are large employers that offer legitimate online jobs to facilitate helping their clients for billing, service issues, and signing new customers to accounts. I was asked the other day why I wanted to blog on Christian online business.  That’s a good question.  Christians are under represented on the web and I hope to help change that.

As I looked around the web for information on doing business from a Christian perspective I didn’t find much help.  There are a lot of web sites that are selling products that are supposedly Christian based and maybe they are.  But there are not many resources for people who really want to be successful with an online business based on Christian principles.

I have spent considerable time and money learning how internet marketing works and trying different techniques.  Some things I have found work great and others not so great.  I use this blog to let others know what I have learned and hopefully lessen their learning curve.

I think one reason Christians are under represented on the web is because of the reputation the web received in the first few years.  The reputation was well earned.  Most of the people selling things were either dealing in pornography or in scams to get people’s hard earned money.  Some people had said it was like the Wild West with no laws and no rules.  This is very close to the reality.

Starting in the late 90’s and continuing after the dot com bust, main stream businesses have started to realize that the web can be an effective medium for doing business.  It is time for Christians to realize that although there may still be some bad sites and people on the internet we can have a positive influence.  There have been a few missionaries on the web from the beginning but it is time for mainstream Christians to become a strong presence.

We can look at the web like the printing press.  The printing press revolutionized the transfer of information.  For the first time the average person could have their own copy of The Bible.  At the same time the printing press has made possible the spreading of a lot of terrible, evil ideas.  But we don’t say the printing press is bad.  The thing that matters is how the press is used.

It is the same with the internet.  As a group we can use it to spread the Good Word and counteract the negative aspects of other web sites.
