Some people are saying the internet as a way to make money is dead. Why are they saying that? I think it is because they tried a little bit here and there without putting much effort in and didn’t make any money. Thus, they figured since they weren’t rich yet an internet based business model must not work. That is OK with me because it just leaves more potential for those of us who are willing to do the work necessary to find riches online.
Is making money online easy? No, like any other business it takes a lot of work if you want to be successful. Can you make boat loads of money online? Sure, but you aren’t going to do it in a week or a month or probably even a year. Every business endeavor takes time to master and this is no different. If you want to be successful you need to study and study and try things and experiment and eventually you will hit pay dirt. If you want to put up one site and then sit back and watch the money roll in might as well go buy a lottery ticket. But if you are really looking for an online work at home business or a making money online business opportunity then you can find success if you are willing to work.
You need some direction and the first place I would go is the The Keyword Academy. Court Tuttle has been working online for years and he is definitely one of the three top internet marketers in the business. On top of that he is a great guy and as honest as the day is long. If Court tells you something you can be sure he is saying it to help you and not to make himself money. You can get a membership to the academy for a measly $1 if you act now by clicking on the link above. If you are serious about an online opportunity business then you need to check out Court and his program. Every day he is helping dozens of people to make more money online than they ever have before.
There are a few things that are keys to a successful online business. One of them is to understand what it is you are trying to do. Do you want to have a lot of people come and read your blog everyday or do you want to make money with your blog. These are often times two completely different things. An online marketing business opportunity does not usually mean you have people returning to your blog day after day and reading what you post. Instead it usually means you get people searching for something, they come to your blog and find the item and buy it. Or, they don’t really find what they want so they click on an adsense ad and you make money that way.
The key to success with a Christian online business opportunity is to know what you want your customers to do once they get to your site. Do you want to develop a relationship with them so they will keep coming back week after week? Or, do you want to offer them a product or service on the first visit and if they don’t bite they will hopefully click on an ad. If you try to make a site to fulfill both these online marketing models then you will most definitely be unhappy with the results.
You need to train yourself to think like a customer and you need to have clearly in your mind what you want your customer to do. Once you have a plan for what the customer should do you can then test and tweak your site to get him or her to do exactly what you want. This is not manipulation and I do not endorse any underhanded tactics because there is no place for that in a legitimate online business or internet business. This is just laying out your site so that the customer gets the result they are looking for.
After all, the customer came to your site looking for something. It only makes sense to give it to him or her. If you do you can build a successful online business opportunity website.

Very sound advice for Christians who are looking for a legitmate online business – its all about seeing the bigger picture and being prepared to do work before the money starts rolling in – it will come but sometimes you need the patience of Job!
and how to make people click the ads?
I agree Lis, it takes longer than most people want to wait.
Luc,
There are two schools of thought on getting ads clicked. The first says you don’t really offer any information on your blog so when someone lands on your page they say, “hey this isn’t what I was looking for,” and they click anything to get out. some of them will click an ad. I don’t profess to this method for two reasons. First, I thin people deserve information if they are looking for it. Second, Google doe not like sites that don’t give the searcher what they want. I try to give good information and then if the person reads the post and wants more information they can click on an ad.
I hope that helps.
