I wanted to do a post today about where the economy is going and why I think people should start a work from home online business. Now the economists are saying that we probably won’t see a recovery this fall and maybe not till next year. Even when the recovery does come, it appears as though it is going to be a jobless recovery which means people start buying things again but most of the unemployed are still without work. This just reinforces my belief that the days of the big corporations are over. You no longer can expect to go to work for a company and then retire in 30 years with a good pension and health insurance.

We are going to have to find our own opportunities and take control of our own work lives. I think the biggest opportunities are on the web. A person can start a web based business and learn how to work from home online. There are all kinds of possibilities when you start to think about how to make money online. If you like to write you can do very well writing articles and posts for other people who own websites. You don’t even have to have your own site. Just go to some of the forums where internet marketing people hang out and mention you are available to write. You can expect to get about two to three cents a word. So a standard 400 word post will make you about $8 to $12. As you get better should be able to do about two of these an hour fairly easily. That’s pretty good wages if you enjoy words.

If you don’t like being your own boss you can find work from home online jobs in the same vain. There are several companies that will act as middle men for writers. The way it works is a website owner needs an article so they contact the article company. The company in turn gives an author the job of writing the article. The author writes the article and then sends it to the company. They next send you the fee for writing and the company sends the article on to the web master.

The nice thing about this method, which can be used to make money online and work from home, is that you don’t have to deal with the customers. All you have to do is read the email with the article instructions and then write. There is no hassle about getting paid or spending valuable writing time contacting customers. You won’t make quite as much per article this way but you have a lot less headaches.

It doesn’t appear to me as though the economy is going to get much better anytime soon. I think we are going to have to be resilient and find our own ways to make money. There are not many opportunities better than a work from home online business.  You can control your work schedule and you really have can manipulate your revenue.  There is more work than authors so you can write as much as you want.
